Objectives:

• To ensure steadyflow of skilled workers in different trade for the industries

• To raise the quality and quantity of Industrial production by systematic training for workers

• To prepare youth for employment and self-employment by equiping them with suitable Vocational Education & Training

Responsibilities :

• To promote Vocational Education and Training activities in a State

• Decide standards and norms for various courses and trades in consultations with D.G.E.T, Industries etc.

• Implement the CTS , ATS, AVTS, +2 Vocational Education, Pre-Vocational Education Schemes in the State.

• A planning, co-ordination, implementation and control of Vocational Education & Training Schemes.

• Ensure and maintain the quality of Vocational Education and Training in the State.

• Attract the youths towards Vocational Education in order to make them suitable for employment and self-employment.

• Reduce the burdon on college education
